White Hart Tutoring with Cate offers personalised science tuition for all key stages, specialising in Biology at A Level. My aim is to support and guide students to achieve their academic goals.
Key stage 3 is a crucial time for students to build a strong foundation in science. I focus on engaging lessons that make complex topics accessible and enjoyable.
Key stage 4 is a pivotal time for students as they prepare for their GCSEs. I provide targeted support to help students excel in their exams and build confidence in their abilities.
A Level Biology is an exciting and challenging course that allows students to explore the complexities of living organisms. I provide in-depth support to help students develop a strong understanding of the subject and excel in their exams.
I am able to offer support for a range of other science courses and levels. Whether it's help with coursework, exam preparation / marking, or building confidence in science, I'm here to help, get in touch to see how we may work together.
I qualified from Newcastle University with a degree in Zoology in 2004 and completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Durham Univeristy in 2005. I have worked with the full secondary age and ability spectrum in both comprehensive and grammar school settings for almost 20 years. I have extensive experience in supporting students to reach their goals as a classroom teacher, and was a Head of Science for almost ten years. White Hart Tutoring was founded in 2025 and is run from my conservatory in Marton, between Gainsborough and Lincoln. It was born from my belief in meeting students where they are at, not teaching to a one size fits all model, and working with people to help them meet their goals, whatever they may be. As we are all different I aim to tailor my approach to cater for individual needs. With extensive experience in teaching, mentoring, writing internal examinations, and assessing internal and external examinations I have the skills needed to help you or your child succeed. I also work in holistic therapies such as yoga, hynotherapy, meditation and nutrition so if you feel need any of these areas could benefit you or your child, please get in touch.
KS3-GCSE 1:1 £50ph, reduced to £45ph for regular or block booking
A Level 1:1 £70ph, reduced to £65ph for regular or block booking.
